1. Prevention of overweight and obesity among adolescents and young people
According to the latest data from the The Kazakh Academy of Nutrition, there is a problem of
overweight and obesity among children aged 1 year, which affects their health.
Expected solutions: development of improved nursing education and
counselling for parents on the basis of mobile application.

2. Prevention and improve access to treatment of sexually transmitted
diseases, hepatitis, HIV (support to patients and adolescents, and
awareness-raising)

The recent reproductive health survey findings indicates that nearly half of adolescents aged 15-
19 years are sexually active with high incidence of unprotected sex and multiple sexual partners
in Kazakhstan. This possess a risk for outbreak of sexually transmitted infections, including HIV
and viral hepatitis B and C as well as teenage pregnancies.
Expected solutions: development of improved learning processes for parents, children, doctors,
nurses to raise awareness of HIV, sexual and reproductive health for adolescents.

3. Prevention of childhood and adolescent injuries and road traffic accidents.
According to the World Report (WHO) and UNICEF on the prevention and evaluation of child
injuries, 830 000 children die every year in the world, and tens of millions become disabled
people due to injuries.
Expected solution: Creating an online platform / hub / lab with training materials, tips,
interactive games to enhance
awareness and knowledge on the definition and reduction of
risks of injury to the house, on the face, on the playground / sports ground, on the road, on the
transport
4. Remote monitoring of patients with chronic illnesses.
Worldwide, there are problems with the health status of patient who is on dispensary
records, the attending physician (or self-monitoring by the patient).
Expected solutions: Creation of system with convenient and clear interface for patients and
doctors, which is integrated with with sensors, fitness trackers, insulin pumps to monitor the
indicators of diseases of the circulatory system (indicators of blood pressure, heart rate), blood
sugar level.

5. Strengthen the cold chain for vaccine delivery.

All vaccines in Kazakhstan are supplied to the country because of aviation. There are problems
of observing the temperature regime of the chain when delivering to the regional centers by
special freight transport, especially in the spring period (T 2-8 ° C,),
Expected solution: Development of an automated system for monitoring the movement of
vaccines and compliance with their storage conditions or the vaccine delivery system for the last
stage with the help of drones.
